Having said that, I took some time to sit down and reflect on the past 22 years of my life and now I’m deciding to share what I came up with with you. These are just from the top of my head! There are a lot more things I’m thankful for but here are the first 22 that come to mind as of right now. Hope you enjoy and maybe pick up a few things to be grateful for as well! 1. Jesus. — I can’t say this enough. I am so grateful to have such a strong relationship with Him. This last year has made me realize, more than ever, how being a child of Christ has truly shaped me to become the person that I am today. I started reading my bible more regularly and honestly, I feel so much better about myself. I’m continuously thirsty for His word and that, I believe, is very important! 2. My mom. — I am grateful for this woman every day of my life. Although this past year, I was finally old enough to understand in depth how hard she works just to be able sustain my brother and I. We are able to live a more than comfortable life because of her. She’s our superwoman and I couldn’t be more honored to be her daughter. 3. My home. — I am thankful for the food I eat, the roof over my head, the bed I am able to sleep on at night and the luxury of being able to shower anytime I please. (This is also, again, because of my momma love) 4. My health/body. — To be able to see, hear, taste, touch and smell perfectly. To have a complete set of body parts, healthy and functioning perfectly. 5. Coffee. — My love for coffee has gone on an all-time-high this last year. Me and my flat white are infinite. 6. My education. — I started studying Child Development and Education last year. I am incredibly happy and blessed because I was able to realize what I wanted to do with my life, on a professional level, and be able to shift to a course that will help me become a kick-ass educator someday. 7. Water. — I was never a water drinker, but this last year has definitely taught me to learn how to love it! My acne is also so much better since I started drinking water religiously. 8. Barley. — My lifesaver. Seriously. Get educated! http://www.herballorganic.com/ 9. My anti-depressants. — (DISCLAIMER: NO ONE SHOULD TAKE THESE WITHOUT PROPER MEDICAL INTERVENTION.) Last year was the first time in years that I felt like a normal human being. I was able to live life happily and free from the unnecessary worry and stress I put myself under in the past. 10. Real friends. — I am just at a point in my life wherein I refuse to waste my time on people that won’t help me grow. I am so grateful for the people that make me want to become a better person. 11. Jewelry. — Whether from the tiangge or not! I am so thankful for jewelry because I am such a simple dresser. I usually rely on a nice pair of earrings and/or a pretty bracelet to dress what I’m wearing up on a daily basis. 12. Pimple cream. — I was able to discover this pimple cream from the Japan trip I took last year and it has worked wonders for me. 13. Lip and cheek tint. — I am probably one of the laziest people when it comes to fixing your face up so I live off of this stuff. 14. Pepper. — My doggy! Cuddles with her make me smile and just lift up my spirits when I need a little push. (Same goes for my cat, Bella love) 15. My boyfriend. — (I bet he thought I wouldn’t mention him hehehe) He’s my best friend. He just makes life so much more exciting and fun. Not to mention his laughter is contagious! 16. Ballet flats. — I just love flats. Period. They’re the best. 17. Money. — It is an important fact to realize that money is a tool and is not something that should consume you. With that, I am grateful to have also started slowly earning my own money as I am now able to help myself to little things I might want/need. I am also more than motivated to earn more in order to also be a blessing to others. To my mom, most especially! 18. Waze. — Need I say more? 19. Planners. — I’m thankful for planners simply because I’m able to keep track of everything that I have to do. I don’t rely on my phone when it comes to this stuff! I still believe pen and paper is best when it comes to jotting down things you have coming up/things you have to remember or things you need to finish by a certain date and time. 20. Aircon. — With the heat in the PH, I think many of you can relate. Something we take for granted! So thankful to have the pleasure of having an aircon at home and in school! 21. Salons/Dentist. — This past year, I have learned to take better care of myself. Nails, teeth, hair. It’s nice to be able to spoil yourself with a little pampering sometimes. 22. Work. — I’m so thankful to have been able to finally start blogging! As I’ve said before, it’s a dream come true. 1 Thessalonians 5:18: “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” Love, Lexi Photo taken by Patrick Picache.
