In recent years, food influencer has become more popular among Vietnamese millennials who consider social network platforms such as Instagram and YouTube part of their life.

The popular photo and video-sharing social networking service Instagram has quickly become a ‘food heaven’ for many Vietnamese food influencer to introduce their works to the world.

 No food phobia

AsiaKOL: Could you introduce yourself?

Linh: My name is Vu My Linh, a Hanoi-based food influencer, named my account “nofoodphobia”, a word I coined to describe my special phobia – the fear of having no food.

AsiaKOL: Would you explain your influencer experience?

Linh: Being a food influencer, I have the chance to try different kinds of food, access to many different kinds of cuisines from Vietnam to China, South Korea and Europe.

The job has also allowed me to earn a small income from restaurants who often invites me to review their dishes. I will spend this money on my street food experience, or on delicacies at cool places that I want to recommend for my followers.

AsiaKOL: How do you normally interact with your fans?

Linh: I currently have a follower based of 61,300 on my two-year-old account. I try to publish one post a day. Frequent enough to let my followers get “lost” in a land of colourful photos capturing food from restaurants to streets.

AsiaKOL: What is your goal right now?

Linh: Right now I am 22-year-old, I am expecting to make my account a professional page for food influence with plenty of eye-catching and mouth-watering photos.
